Encryption and Data Storage |
All sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards used by, among others, the US Government. The encryption keys are held on state-of-the-art, tamper proof systems in the same family as those used to secure VeriSign's Global Root certificate, making them all but impossible to extract. The data we hold is extremely secure and we are regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure it remains so. |

All transaction information passed between My Mini Monsters and the Sage Pay Systems is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and any messages sent to your servers from Sage Pay are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. You can be completely secure in the knowledge that nothing you pass to the Sage Pay servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information. |

3D Secure |

3D Secure or Three Domain Security is a system that has been developed by the major card schemes to authorise payment over the Internet. MasterCard has called their version MasterCard SecureCode and Visa has called their scheme Verified by Visa. The 3D Secure scheme requires the cardholder to register their details on the card issuers website. The cardholder will then be asked to answer several security questions, before being asked to create a password and a secret phrase. Just as you would authorise a payment in a shop by ‘Chip and Pin’, the next time the cardholder wishes to make a purchase online, 3D Secure will ask for a pin that you have provided. |
